On today’s show, I got a chance to sit down and talk to the fighting game phenom, Justin “Marvelous” Wong. The interview was brief but well worth it.
If you just new to the Fighting Game Community (which most of you are not), Justin Wong is the Best Super Street Fighter IV & Marvel vs Capcom 2 player in North America. For Years, Justin has been wowing crowds with his miraculous game play and over the top combos, to his clutch game play. While at C-Bus Bar Battles 3, I got a chance to do a brief interview of his current events, like his early departure at this year’s evo ( his matches with Vangief and Gamer Bee), What he thinks of the capcom / Namco Bandai “cross” games & how he feels about Marvel Vs Capcom 3.
Again. Like I said before, the interview was brief (due to the Super Street Fighter IV tournament starting soon) however asked him a few more good questions and we proceeded to do the shout out / rant out and got ready for the tournament.
Fighter’s Fury would like to thank Justin Wong for taking a few minutes of his time and do the interview with us. We wish him and Evil Geniuses the very best in the near future and we hope to see him again at Seasons Beatings V.

Thanks for using the images, Shel! Always excited to see my work getting put out there.
Hey Justin,
You a mario fan? Playing super smash brothers now lol? Seriously though, you rock Justin. thing I respect about you the most is how you keep your cool under pressure, especially how you made that sort of comeback at evo 2009 after switching from abel to balrog. You didn’t do so well at evo 2010 but you’re gonna come back even stronger at evo 2011 and do some serious damage to all competitors. Daigo is just keeping that title warm for you dude.
Good luck at seasons beatings 2010
Firstly, kool t-shirt dude
justin sucks because he boasts to much…
daigo will wipe the floor with him just like every other evo they have both met at…
I guess people have to stop complaining about this whole myth. If you’re better, just go and challenge him right ? I have to admit I was in the whoe “justin hate” just because he always look like a jackass in tournament, especially when he wins (for eg : when he won against mike ross for the national SF4 title). Like, oh, “look at Justin, he’s not making the EVO 10″ or “he’s gonna get his ass whipped at the next Tougeki”.
But guess what… Unless you’re a total moron, being salty AND a bit picky IS part of the game if you go to tournament (cause the (-_-) daigo’s attitude is so fucking boring as hell just like Hanna Montana). Being calm and not saying a thing doesn’t mean that Japanese gamersaren’t salty too (they just don’t talk shit to your face, that’s the big difference). Learn the differences in culture, you’ll be pretty surprised.
Having that kind of attitude (which just bring more hype and fun to the game, and that’s pretty cool) doesn’t mean the guy’s like that in his daily life, and having met (briefly) Justin, he’s in fact pretty sweet and humble.
